Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
As much as other players could end Giannis Antetokounmpo’s MVP streak, it is really hard to bet against the “Greek Freak” winning his third consecutive MVP award. The 26-year old NBA star is one of the most talked about players around the league and with his pending free agency looming, this could be his final chance to deliver a championship to the city of Milwaukee.
Giannis Antetokounmpo already decided to sign the supermax contract extension to remain long-term with the Milwaukee Bucks and until then, the whole NBA world will be waiting for the decision to be made.
Regardless of what Antetokounmpo decides to do with his future, he is under contract for this season with the Bucks and intends to do everything he can to make it to the NBA Finals and contend for a championship. The last two seasons, the Bucks have come up just short of their goal of reaching the NBA Finals, losing in the Eastern Conference Finals two seasons ago and in the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season.
Even though they have brought in Jrue Holiday, Giannis Antetokonmpo will still need to play at an MVP level if the Bucks are to continue dominating the Eastern Conference.
Given his last two years and his production for Milwaukee, it is hard not to have Giannis as the No. 1 early candidate to win the 2020-21 NBA MVP award, and moving forward it is hard to imagine him out of the conversation for the award year-after-year.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the most dominant seven-footer the game has seen since Wilt Chamberlain and if Giannis can develop a reliable jumper, he will go down as one of the top 10 players to have ever played in the NBA.
