This 76ers-Clippers trade forms intriguing new big three in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers are two teams interested in competing for an NBA championship right away. They both have core players in place that they feel good about but could look to improve even further. This blockbuster deal would shake up both conferences.

Philadelphia has given the experiment with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid plenty of time. They have failed to win and if possible, have taken steps backward. They have signed the wrong players to max deals and this has hurt their progress in recent years.

Daryl Morey has come in to run basketball operations and said that he is not interested in trading either Simmons or Embiid. However, taking executes at their word has proven to be something that observers shouldn’t do.

If this is true, the 76ers could look for another deal. The Clippers just signed Paul George to a max extension which makes it difficult to believe that they would trade him. Let’s have some fun with this one and cook up a trade that would leave Kawhi Leonard on his own in Los Angeles.

If the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers could pull off a deal of this magnitude, it would completely shake up the league. Here is what it might look like if the two sides got together.
