Pacers Lose In First-Round Of Playoffs For Sixth Consecutive Year

Indiana Pacers’ fans are going to hate seeing this, but unfortunately, there is nothing about this year’s team that is new and could potentially change their losing ways in the playoffs.

The Pacers return basically everyone from a season ago and while Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis may finally be healthy and ready to play an entire season, there are too many injury-prone players on this roster to be confident in Indiana’s potential.

If this team could stay fully healthy the entire season, they could absolutely be one of the better teams in the entire NBA given the total talent on their roster, but injury concerns are too much to look over. Victor Oladipo, Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis have missed a total of 148 games over the last two years, which is highly concerning for the future of this organization.

After the NBA’s resumption of play in the Orlando Bubble, TJ Warren averaged 31.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and shot 52.4% from three-point range in 6 seeding games, leading to him being named to the All-Seeding Games First-Team. The emergence of TJ Warren last season was a great sign for the Pacers and he looks to be one of the future stars of the team, but his production alone will not carry this team past the first round

It is inevitable that the Indiana Pacers lose in the first-round of the playoffs for the 6th consecutive season. Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis and T.J. Warren are the three players the Pacers need to build with moving forward, leaving Malcolm Brogdon and Victor Oladipo as two guys who could be on the move sooner than later.

Because of all of the uncertainty on this roster and the lack of production over the years, the Indiana Pacers will come up short once again and be eliminated from the playoffs in the first-round.
