Can The Brooklyn Nets Win The 2021 NBA Finals?

Given the offensive firepower that this team possesses, it will be very hard not to pick them to win the Eastern Conference and play for a chance to win the franchise’s first title. With Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant both coming back from injuries and likely to play at a high-level, there is just no way to guard and contain everyone on the court for Brooklyn this season.

If too much attention is being given to one of the Nets superstars, the other one will go off on a scoring frenzy, but if both players are being targeted by opponents defensively, then other players like LeVert, Dinwiddie or Harris will wind up scoring in bunches. The best way to likely beat the Nets this season is to try and keep them out of the paint and force them into taking jump shots, but even then they could still dominate.

A lot of the Brooklyn Nets’ potential success revolves around both Irving and Durant remaining healthy, which is something that could end up being problematic. Irving has missed an extended amount of time over the last three seasons and has dealt with an assortment of injuries over the years. Durant has been more sustainable over the years than Irving, but he will not be able to win a title on his own, he needs Kyrie Irving by his side in order to contend for a championship.

Last season, the Nets as a whole finished 16th in scoring, 24th in field-goal percentage, and 26th in three-point shooting percentage. Expect them to rise greatly in all three of these scoring categories because of the fact that both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are back and healthy. Adding these two players to an already talented team is what makes the Brooklyn Nets a legit title contender and is why they have a really strong chance to win the 2021 NBA Finals.
