Sacramento Kings Receive: Tim Hardaway Jr., 2022 1st Round Pick (Top 10 Protected)

Dallas Mavericks Receive: Buddy Hield

Both teams would be getting valuable pieces back in return, although the Mavericks would be getting the best player in the trade. The Kings may be giving Hield up, but Hardaway would be a solid replacement and they would also get a first-round pick.

Even though Hield is a very good player and he is just 27 years old, this is about what the Kings could expect in a trade.

Granted, the Kings may opt to keep Hield around and see what he can do with a bigger and more consistent role. His relationship with the franchise seemed fractured, but maybe Luke Walton and company can fix that. If they can, Hield still could be an important part of their future.

Let’s take a closer look at this trade and why it would make sense for both teams to pull the trigger.
