4 bold predictions for Phoenix Suns entering 2020-21 NBA season

Success has been hard to come by over the years if you are a Phoenix Suns fan, but the future of this organization is extremely bright after a terrific ending to last year and a fantastic offseason. In the NBA Bubble in Orlando, the Suns went 8-0 in their seeding games and barely missed a chance to make the playoffs for the first time in 10 years.

This team has the grit and mentality to be a winning team moving forward and management acknowledged this by finally going out and bringing in another big-time talent to pair with Devin Booker. The Suns were able to trade for future Hall-of-Fame point guard, Chris Paul, this offseason, making this organization a very talented and hungry team in the Western Conference.

The addition of Chris Paul helps the Suns in a bunch of ways, but finally gives them a reliable floor general at the point guard position. Devin Booker had been the primary ball-handler over the years, which he made work, but he is a much better player off-the-ball. With Deandre Ayton proving to be one of the better big men in the game and Booker being one of the best pure scorers in the game, Chris Paul will join this Suns team and do what he does best: making everyone around him better.

The Suns have the league’s second-longest playoff drought at 10 years, but that streak may be finally coming to an end as a decade of suffering is no more. Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton create one of the fiercest trios in the NBA, and with other role players in Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, and Dario Saric, the Phoenix Suns finally have a roster that could shake up the Western Conference.

While they acquired Chris Paul, the Suns did have to give up both Ricky Rubio and Kelly Oubre Jr, two key players for Phoenix last season who combined to average just under 32 points per game. In order for the Suns to be successful this season, some key bench players and younger players will have to step up because Paul, Booker, and Ayton cannot provide all the scoring for this team.

With that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at 4 bold predictions for the Phoenix Suns entering the 2020-21 NBA season.
