Why the Trade Benefits the Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets entered the NBA offseason with plenty of options of what to do with the roster. The new-look front office has already made a splash and could look to make another deal to improve the roster for first-time head coach Stephen Silas.
Wiggins would be an interesting fit for the Rockets. He is not a great shooter but he has the ability to play fast and can get to the rim using his great athleticism. He would not be asked to be the No. 1 option within the offense which would make his game even better.
It’s not easy to find impact players on the wing and the Rockets would benefit from adding Wiggins for that reason. He could slot in and play a bigger role if the Rockets were to ultimately move on from Harden.
It would be refreshing for the Rockets to be involved in trade talks that do not involve Harden. This is a deal they should take a long look at and see if it is possible because it would benefit the team greatly.
