Lakers Receive: Trey Lyles, Keldon Johnson
Spurs Receive: Kyle Kuzma, Markieff Morris
No, this would not be a blockbuster for either team. Kuzma isn’t going to bring in a star-caliber return. However, both Lyles and Johnson would be quality depth additions for the Lakers.
As for the Spurs, they would be getting a young forward that could handle a large load on the offensive end of the court. Morris would be a solid depth piece as well. It wouldn’t move the needle a ton for either team, but this trade would be a way for both sides to re-tool their rosters a bit.
Both teams could shoot this deal down and not make it. Or, they could both like making small changes that wouldn’t drastically change their roster.
Let’s take a closer look at this trade and why it could make sense for both the Lakers and Spurs.
