Atlanta Hawks Will Lead NBA In Made Three-Pointers

This prediction should not come as a shock because of how many great shooters the Atlanta Hawks have on their roster this season. Looking back on 2019-20 season stats, the Hawks have 10 players on their roster this upcoming season who all shot over 33% from three-point range last season.

Outside of the center position, the Hawks have a player at every position who can knock down a three-point shot at any point in a game, making them one of the league’s most dangerous three-point shooting teams ever. Given the amount of shooting talent this team has and their gameplan being focused on the three-ball, the Atlanta Hawks may be able to contend for a long-time NBA record.

The 1996-97 Charlotte Hornets, led by Glen Rice and Dell Curry, hold the NBA record for highest three-point shooting percentage in a season at 42.76%, but that record could be in jeopardy this year. The Atlanta Hawks are going to be making it rain from deep every single game and if they knock down shots at the level they can, they can easily shoot above 40% as a team from three-point range and possibly make a run at the NBA record.

Given the amount of three-pointers taken in today’s game, the Hawks will likely come up short because of volume, but they could flirt with averaging higher than 40% from deep this season. Scoring is at an all-time high in the NBA and this season will be no exception. The Atlanta Hawks will lead the league in three-pointers made per game this season, as well as three-point percentage.
