Rockets Once Again Finish As One Of NBA’s Better Scoring Teams

Through the years, the Houston Rockets have not only been one of the league’s best three-point shooting teams, but have been one of the highest scoring teams in the entire league. This year will be no different because as long as James Harden is on the court doing his thing, the Rockets will be a legit threat in the Western Conference.

Over the last three seasons, James Harden has put up insane scoring numbers, as he has averaged over 30 points per game each season and has won back-to-back-to-back scoring titles. He has scored a total of 7,344 points the last three years, which has moved him to 41st on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list. 35% of his total points over the course of his career have come in the last three seasons.

With his scoring output and with the additions of John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, the Houston Rockets have three All-Star talents that when healthy, can score in bunches. Wall and Cousins have suffered a lot of injuries over the years and neither have been on the court a whole lot over the years.

Both Wall and Cousins are finally healthy and with Harden being the clear-cut leader of this team, they should be able to take a step back and not have to carry a lot of the scoring load, making the game easier for them.

Not to mention, the Houston Rockets still have Eric Gordon and P.J. Tucker under-contract this season, two proven scorers who have been key players for the Rockets over the years. They also signed Christian Wood this offseason, who scored in double-figures last year.

If James Harden remains with the Houston Rockets this season, they will once again be a Top-10 scoring team in the league and should be right in the thick of things down the stretch of the 2020-21 NBA season.
