The Houston Rockets still face a situation where James Harden would like to be traded but haven’t found a potential suitor. The Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls both could benefit from getting involved in a potential three-team trade scenario for the former NBA MVP.
It seems the Celtics have been mentioned as a logical landing spot for pretty much any superstar that has been surfaced on the NBA trading block. However, Boston has yet to execute a deal for any of those names.
For a Celtics team that has made it to the Eastern Conference Finals numerous times in the Jayson Tatum era, making an aggressive move to get over the hump makes sense. Let’s not forget, Anthony Davis was key in the Los Angeles Lakers winning the NBA Finals while Jimmy Butler got the Miami Heat by Boston.
It would be difficult for the Bulls to justify making an aggressive push to acquire a talent like Harden. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look to get involved as a third-team in a potential deal to benefit from it though.
Let’s take a look at a recent trade scenario featured around James Harden that includes the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and Houston Rockets.
