How the Warriors can trade for Derrick Rose from Pistons

There was much optimism surrounding the Golden State Warriors at the start of the NBA offseason. While Stephen Curry will be back in the lineup, the season-ending torn Achilles injury that Klay Thompson suffered has since changed that perception. The team will need more help as a result and the Detroit Pistons may have an answer.

It has been a struggle for the Warriors to achieve much for quality depth as the years have gone on with their core players signed to substantial contracts. Not having favorable draft positioning until this year has certainly not helped the situation either.

One potential option that could be intriguing for the Warriors to gain a temporary scoring boost is Derrick Rose. The Pistons are widely considered to being likely to trade the former All-Star with the recent addition of Killian Hayes in the 2020 NBA Draft.

If the Warriors seek to remain a highly competitive team, adding another piece either before the season or prior to the conclusion of the NBA trade deadline would go a long way. Golden State may not win a championship either way, but it would undoubtedly help.

With that being said, let’s take a look at how the Golden State Warriors could trade for Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons.
