Buddy Hield has been on the trading block since the beginning of the offseason. He is one of the biggest names remaining this offseason and could be on the move soon. If the Sacramento Kings want to make a splash, then this deal with the Boston Celtics would be the way to go.
The Kings moved Hield to the bench last season in favor of Bogdan Bogdanovic. That came after signing Hield to a four-year, $94 million contract extension. The bond has been broken between the two sides, which has led to trade rumors surrounding the franchise.
Hield is unhappy with his current situation and could benefit from getting a fresh start somewhere else.
There are few better destinations than the Celtics. Boston made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season and is ready to win now. They have two cornerstone players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. They could use a three-point threat on the perimeter and there are few better than Hield right now in the league.
This is a deal that would make the Celtics lineup even better for the 2020-2021 season. Hield would also be able to leave a bad situation with the Kings.
If the two sides were able to put together a deal, it might look something like this.
