The Philadelphia 76ers have been mentioned in many trade rumors recently. They have all involved acquiring James Harden from the Houston Rockets. There is a chance they could go in a completely different direction and add another point guard like Detroit Pistons’ Derrick Rose to make their rotation deeper.

The 76ers are coming off yet another early exit from the NBA postseason. It came in the form of a sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics. Ben Simmons was forced to miss time and the team was unable to gain any momentum.

The Embiid-Simmons process has been a failure to date. They let Jimmy Butler walk and decided to sign Tobias Harris to a max contract. This is why the franchise decided to bring Daryl Morey in with hopes of making some good basketball decisions.

One good decision could be acquiring Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons. They are a team that was very busy at the beginning of NBA free agency. They signed many forwards to the roster including Jerami Grant. Detroit is in a rebuilding phase, which means veteran players like Rose could be on their way out.

If the Philadelphia 76ers are looking for a point guard to take over the ball-handling duties, they could contact the Detroit Pistons. Here is what a potential trade centered around Derrick Rose could look like.
