One intriguing trade the Celtics should consider making for James Harden

The Houston Rockets have already sent away Russell Westbrook this NBA offseason. James Harden could be next and he has already been linked to teams such as the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. However, the Boston Celtics would be an intriguing possibility.

After a run to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics are looking to take the next step to compete with the Los Angeles Lakers and win the NBA championship. Coming up short to a Miami Heat team led by Jimmy Butler should show Boston the true value of having a superstar in their prime in pivotal moments.

If that means making a trade for one of the best scorers in the NBA, then that is what they could do. Danny Ainge is one of the best basketball minds there is and would be able to put together a package to send Houston.

The Rockets have already made big changes in the front office along with adding Stephen Silas as their new head coach. Westbrook is now in Washington and Harden as a chance to be on the move as well. This would completely reshape the franchise in Houston for the years upcoming.

If Boston contacts Houston for Harden, this would completely shake up the NBA. Here is what a potential trade between the two sides might look like.
