Why the Trade Benefits the Chicago Bulls

With the current state of the Chicago Bulls, they have to rebuild by adding young players in the draft. The team has struggled with Zach LaVine and Lauri Markannen over the past few years— meaning they could use them as trade pieces for a big return. 

The Bulls added Patrick Williams with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. They have a future point guard in White who showed signs at the end of last season.

If they were to add two more first-round picks, it would go along way in building for the future. This is what many rebuilding teams are doing now rather than trying to land in overprice free agent.

This comes down to the fact that Chicago has been near the bottom of the conference with their current roster configuration. There are no untouchable players on the roster so it is all about dealing the ones that will get you the best return.
