This deal has the Dallas Mavericks giving up two first-round picks but they are hoping that they will be later in NBA Draft. If the duo works out the way they want, the Mavs could quickly turn into contenders in the Western Conference.
That is the main goal here. Mark Cuban is not afraid to make the big move and this is certainly one that would send shockwaves through the NBA. Jokic’s ability on the court is incredible and no one knows why.
Jokic is not the fastest or most athletic player but his skills are polished and he can do it all. He is a three-point shooter who can handle the ball in the open court and pass effectively. The duo of Luka Doncic and Jokic is one that can certainly build a winner in Dallas.
The draft picks are the kicker here. It all comes down to what the Mavericks would be willing to give up. Also, it would benefit the team if they feel like Jokic could help bring another superstar to town in the near future.
