The Hypothetical Trade

NYK: CJ McCollum, Zach Collins

POR: Julius Randle, Frank Ntilikina, 2021 1st Round Pick (via LAC), 2021 1st Round Pick (via DAL), 2023 1st Round Pick (via DAL)

The Knicks would finally bring some excitement to the Garden in this deal if they were to acquire McCollum. It would not be cheap, but the Knicks have plenty of trade pieces in place in the form of players and draft capital.

The Trail Blazers’ biggest return in this deal would be three first-round picks, none of which would be from the Knicks. New York has a plethora of picks built up from deals where they sent away Kristaps Porzingis and Marcus Morris. Portland would also get players with great experience in Randle and Ntilikina.

Let’s take a look and see how this trade would benefit each team in the immediate future.
