The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the top contenders in the Western Conference last season, but their year ended with an embarrassing collapse in the playoffs against the Denver Nuggets. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were not able to live up to the expectations. As for De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings, they once again missed the playoffs.

Could these two teams come together on a potential trade involving George heading to the Kings to create a star duo with Fox? That is something we’re going to take a look at.

Following a rough end to his first season with the Clippers, George has made a strong statement. George stated that he would like to retire with the franchise.

“I want to retire a Clipper. This is where my heart is and I’m happy.”

Now, those words are good to hear, but does he mean them? And even if he does mean them, will the Clippers feel the same way? Another disappearing act like George showed last season could lead to a departure from the team.

If George gets off to a slow start this season and the Clippers don’t feel they can win a championship the way the roster is currently set up, a deal could be possible as well. We know that a trade of George to the Kings isn’t likely, but it is certainly intriguing to think about.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at a potential trade that would send Paul George from the Clippers to the Kings.
