This Bulls-Warriors trade sends Andrew Wiggins to Chicago

The Golden State Warriors are expected to return to the top of the Western Conference this NBA season. With Klay Thompson sidelined, that no longer appears to be the case. Could a trade with the Chicago Bulls featuring a wing help the situation?

The Warriors’ need to make a trade has heated up over the past few weeks. On draft night, Golden State landed James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick and will have Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Kelly Oubre Jr., but not having Thompson makes a substantial difference.

Wiggins is a huge trade piece for the Warriors. In this deal, he would be sent to Chicago. The Bulls are another team full of options. Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen have been hot names in trade rumors for Chicago but there is still the option of building around them.

While it’s clear that Wiggins hasn’t quite lived up to the hype that many NBA experts had for him when he entered the league, he is still an impactful player. That could be enticing for the Bulls in an effort to add another member to their core despite his large contract.

If the Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors teams were to make a deal centered around Andrew Wiggins, it might look something like this.
