Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Heat

On the other side of the deal, this trade makes perfect sense for the Heat as well. Bradley Beal is worth the cost. His presence would give Miami a very good chance to win a title and it would also help them sign more depth.

Quite a few veteran players would want to join Beal, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo in Miami. Losing three young talents is tough, but to win a championship it would be worth it.

Beal is just 27 years old and is still very much in his prime. At this point in time, he has two years left on his contract and a player option for a third year. Miami should be able to find a way to re-sign him long-term if they have success.

Even with the current time left on his deal, this trade makes sense. The Heat would not be in a situation where they only have one year to convince him to stay. And, to be completely honest, Riley and the Heat have been able to convince a lot of big names to join them in South Beach and keep them there.

Miami could offer Beal the chance to compete for a championship. That is what the star shooting guard wants and what the Wizards have never been able to offer him. Even though it is a steep price, the Heat should be open to paying it for a player like Beal.
