Why the Trade Benefits the Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls remain in need of some more impact playmakers. There have been talks of the team looking to trade either Zach LaVine or Lauri Markannen. They could decide to go in a completely different direction and trade White.
This seems like a longshot given the fact that White is a young player who showed promise during his rookie season. If he doesn’t show to be the style of point guard the Bulls desire, there could be a shift in course. Chicago added Patrick Williams with the No. 4 pick in this year’s draft.
Kuzma is the type of outside threat who could score and bunches if he gets hot. He could fill a helpful role for the Bulls coming off the bench as he has done for the Los Angeles Lakers— making Chicago’s team deeper. Having more wing scorers doesn’t hurt as the Bulls find a long-term answer at guard.
The Bulls have been near the bottom of the conference for years now. It is clear and there are some changes that need to be made and it will be interesting to see how the front office goes about doing so.
