The Los Angeles Lakers are still fresh off of winning the NBA Finals last season over the Miami Heat. LeBron James was able to bring a title back to L.A. with the help of fellow superstar Anthony Davis. This season, the Lakers are looking to repeat as champions and they feel that they have a good chance to do so.
James put together another masterful season with the Lakers last year. He averaged 25.3 points per game to go along with 10.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds. In addition to those averages, James shot 49.3 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from the three-point line.
During the offseason, the Lakers went out and brought in quite a few pieces to help James and Davis. They were able to sign Montrezl Harrell and Wesley Matthews in free agency. Both of those guys are going to be quality role player for L.A.
However, the biggest offseason addition for the Lakers was acquiring Dennis Schroder in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Schroder will come in and be an instant upgrade at the point guard position for Los Angeles. He will take a ton of pressure off of James and Davis.
