Derrick Rose Gets Moved to Los Angeles Clippers
The Detroit Pistons have found themselves stuck after attempting to do patchwork to remain a playoff team. Blake Griffin dealt with injury last season and that essentially unraveled the team’s chances of achieving much. Now, Griffin is considered as having one of the worst contracts in the NBA along with Russell Westbrook, John Wall, and Kevin Love.
Aside from Christian Wood’s emergence, the top storyline for the Pistons was arguably how well Derrick Rose was playing coming off the bench. He continued to play at a high level throughout the season, but do we want to see him on a rebuilding team again?
The Pistons used the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft on Killian Hayes and he has an intriguing skill-set. Being able to see him land an even more significant role on a rebuilding team after moving Rose to a contender would be ideal. It’s worth mentioning, a deal for Kyle Kuzma with the Los Angeles Lakers was discussed at one point.
A team like the Los Angeles Clippers would benefit significantly from being able to add a player who can get into the paint like Rose. Alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, it wouldn’t be easy for opposing teams to slow them down in their pursuit of a championship.
