Philadelphia 76ers Add More Shooting With Buddy Hield
After a long tenure with the Houston Rockets, Daryl Morey is now running the show for the Philadelphia 76ers. That was made evidently clear based on the moves the team executed during the 2020 NBA Draft— dumping Al Horford’s salary and adding three-point shooting.
Seth Curry will be a helpful addition for the 76ers to play alongside Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons due to his sharpshooting ability from deep. Now, imagine, adding another sharpshooter who’s accustomed to letting it fly at a high volume rivaled by only a handful of players?
Buddy Hield would give the 76ers new layers to their half-court offense similar to what JJ Redick previously had offered. Since the veteran’s departure, there hasn’t been a versatile knockdown threat to step in and take over that role.
The Sacramento Kings would need to be genuinely enticed to move on from Hield, especially after the departure of Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Atlanta Hawks. Perhaps a talent like Tobias Harris could be intriguing to a team that likes to run a lot of horns sets with mid-post touches for the three spot.
