George Hill — Oklahoma City Thunder
It’s beyond evident the Oklahoma City Thunder are fully in rebuild mode. After trading away Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns, OKC has since re-routed Kelly Oubre Jr. to the Golden State Warriors and taken on the contract of Al Horford from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for assets.
Just about any veteran who still has enough left in the tank to contribute should be thought of as available if they’re on the Thunder’s roster. That’s especially the case for a player like George Hill since he has a complementary skill-set— making him attractive for the Lakers.
Hill is coming off a solid season with the Milwaukee Bucks— producing averages of 21.5 minutes, 9.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. Something that should not be overlooked, he managed to execute at a league-best 46.0% clip from beyond the arc.
Being able to add a player like Hill who can convert from deep with such efficiency and make an impact defensively would go a long way for the Lakers. It also helps that Hill is a capable playmaker within the flow of the game and already has experience alongside LeBron James.
