San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs would be another team that would make sense for a Kyle Kuzma trade destination. DeMar DeRozan could be an intriguing piece that would head back to the Lakers, although it would be difficult to make salaries work with that kind of a trade.
No matter who ended up being shipped back to the Lakers, the Spurs should consider trying to acquire Kuzma.
At this point in time, San Antonio has an aging LaMarcus Aldridge in the front-court. They also have Trey Lyles as his backup. Bringing in Kuzma would give the Spurs a long-term option to build around in the front-court.
Gregg Popovich may be nearing the end of his time as head coach of the Spurs. He isn’t getting any younger. But, he could also be the ideal coach to help Kuzma reach his full potential and become a star-caliber player.
Kuzma to the Spurs makes a lot of sense for both parties involved. If a fair return can be agreed upon, it might just be the best thing that could happen to the young forward.
