Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat are coming off of a run to the NBA Finals and they were able to keep the majority of their roster together this offseason. On the other hand, the Detroit Pistons are a struggling team who has made quite a few roster changes this offseason. What could these two teams possibly have in common? Perhaps a late-offseason trade involving Derrick Rose.
Rose has been mentioned in a ton of trade rumors this offseason. He has been connected to the Los Angeles Lakers the most, but could the Heat make a play for him?
Over the last couple of years, Rose has resurrected his career. Last season with the Pistons, Rose averaged 18.1 points per game to go along with 5.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds. He shot 49 percent from the floor and knocked down 30.6 percent of his three-point attempts.
Bringing in a guy like Rose would be a quality addition for the Heat. If they are all-in on making a championship push, they should consider this option. The Pistons would absolutely be interested in moving Rose for the right price.
