The New York Knicks have been swinging big hoping to be able to land a superstar over the last few years. Unfortunately, they have swung and missed so far. Could they shift their attention to trying to acquire James Harden from the Houston Rockets?
All offseason long, rumors have been coming out about Harden and his souring relationship with the Rockets. From rumors about Harden wanting to leave due to the team owner’s support of Donald Trump, to Harden simply not liking the new coach, it appears that he could be on his way out of town at some point in the near future.
If that is indeed accurate, the Knicks should once again do everything they can to trade for the superstar. Harden would reportedly prefer to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets, but he does not have a say in where he ends up.
Last season with the Rockets, Harden was arguably the best player in the league once again. He averaged 34.3 points per game to go along with 7.5 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game. Harden shot 44.4 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 35.5 percent of his three-point attempts.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at the best possible trade the Knicks could offer the Rockets to acquire James Harden.
