Houston Rockets
Of course, the Houston Rockets are the team who is best positioned to trade for Bradley Beal because it is the Rockets! Right now, both of their former league MVPs are saying they want to be traded, so why not change their mind and bring in Bradley Beal? Or even better, why not trade away Russell Westbrook and bring in Bradley Beal to pair with James Harden?
Not only would Houston be able to dump Russell Westbrook’s massive contract, but they would acquire another talented All-Star to pair with James Harden in hopes of building the Rockets back into a championship contender. Both Harden and Beal are two of the league’s best offensive weapons and paired up, they could form the best backcourt in NBA history.
Both All-Star guards averaged over 30 points per game last year and shot over 35% from three-point range. Together, just imagine what the Houston Rockets offense would look like. It is not crazy to believe that they would be one of the best offenses in the NBA and would be a team that likely could not be stopped on offense.
The Rockets also went out and signed 5x All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins and while he is coming off three significant injuries in the last 18-months, he could still be a factor for Houston.
Nobody really knows what to expect from Cousins this year, but if he can come back from his injuries and play at a high-level, the Rockets would have three All-Star level talents in Harden, Beal, and Cousins, keeping them as a threat in the Western Conference.
Going out and trading for Bradley Beal not only means the Rockets do not have to rebuild, but it means they will likely be able to keep James Harden and continue chasing championships. The Rockets’ front office needs to make a big move for this franchise and there would be no bigger move than keeping James Harden and bringing in Bradley Beal.
