This Hawks-Spurs trade sends John Collins to San Antonio

The Atlanta Hawks have been very busy this NBA offseason. They have already made many big moves in hopes of competing in the upcoming season. Trae Young and John Collins have been viewed as the future to build around but with their recent moves, Collins could be on the move and the San Antonio Spurs would be an intriguing landing spot.

The Hawks used the sixth-overall pick on Onyeka Okongwu. This gives them another weapon down low. They made big signings including Danilo Gallinari, Rajon Rondo, and Bodgan Bogdanovic.

Atlanta looks immediately better with the new additions. If they were to trade Collins, they would get even more of a return for the future.

The San Antonio Spurs are one team that would be in on Collins. After not making the postseason for the first time in 22 years, San Antonio is looking to rebuild their roster. They already have a cornerstone player in Dejounte Murray and could add Collins to the mix.

If these two sides were interested in making a deal, it could look something like this.
