4 teams who should pursue a trade for Clippers guard Lou Williams

1. Golden State Warriors

Finally, there is one destination that would make the most sense ever for Lou Williams. That destination would be the Golden State Warriors.

Many thought the Warriors would be a serious championship contender once again next season. With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson back healthy, they were going to be tough. Unfortunately, Thompson ended up suffering a torn Achilles during an offseason workout.

Golden State did go out and acquire Kelly Oubre in a trade with the Thunder this offseason. But, if they wanted to add more firepower to their roster, Williams could slide in and help fill the void left by Thompson.

Williams has just one year left on his contract. That would fit well for the Warriors, who could be planning to pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo next offseason in free agency. Most importantly, he would help the Warriors compete this season.
