Lou Williams was rumored to be on the trade block earlier this offseason. While the Los Angeles Clippers have not moved him yet, there could be a move left to be made. Williams was not happy with how the team finished the 2019-20 NBA season.
After a strong regular season, the Clippers were knocked out of the playoffs by the Denver Nuggets. They led the series 3-1 over the Nuggets, but ended up giving that lead up.
Big changes have already been made in Los Angeles. Doc Rivers was relieved of his head coaching duties and Tyronn Lue has taken that role over. In free agency, the Clippers didn’t make much of a splash, but they were able to re-sign Marcus Morris.
If the Clippers do make Williams available, he will be a hot name on the trade market. Last season with L.A., he ended up averaging 18.2 points per game to go along with 5.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds. He shot 41.8 percent from the floor and 35.2 percent from the three-point line.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four teams who should pursue a trade for Lou Williams with the Clippers.
