Russell Westbrook has been mentioned in a ton of trade rumors throughout this NBA offseason. He has reportedly requested a trade from the Houston Rockets, although nothing serious has happened yet. Could the Utah Jazz end up being a potential trade destination for him prior to the start of the season?
There is a good chance that the Rockets could end up keeping Westbrook to start the season. James Harden has also reportedly requested a trade from Houston. If they start the season hot, perhaps they could convince the two to stick around.
Last season in his first year with the Rockets, Westbrook ended up averaging 27.2 points per game to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists. He shot 47.2 percent from the floor and 25.8 percent from the three-point line.
However, should the Rockets choose to trade him, the Jazz can offer a very intriguing trade package. Utah could use another star to place alongside Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at a potential trade that would send Russell Westbrook from the Rockets to the Jazz.
