The Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers are in very similar situations this offseason in their respective conferences. Victor Oladipo’s health is something the Pacers are banking on, while the Clippers do have the luxury of having Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on their side.
However, a potential trade between the two teams could be exactly what the doctor ordered for both teams involved.
One of the biggest needs that the Clippers still have this offseason is finding a legitimate point guard. They need someone who can run the offense and take pressure off of George and Leonard. Malcolm Brogdon could very well be that guy.
While he would be a great fit for the Clippers, the Pacers aren’t going to be quick to move him. Brogdon had a great first season with Indiana last year. He would be available at the right price, but L.A. would have to pony up.
During the 2019-20 NBA season with the Pacers, Brogdon ended up averaging 16.5 points per game to go along with 7.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds. Brogdon shot 43.8 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 32.6 percent of his three-point attempts.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at a potential trade that would send Malcolm Brogdon from the Pacers to the Clippers to help out Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
