Why the Trade Benefits the Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic earned the eighth seed in the NBA restart and was able to win game one against the Milwaukee Bucks. They lost the next four and we’re knocked out. It is clear that they will need to improve their roster if they want to make a run next season.

The Magic have star players in Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier. They are a good core to have and a player like LeVert would help right away. He has shown in Brooklyn that he is capable of scoring the ball in big moments of the game.

The Magic would have to give up Gordon in this deal, but they would upgrade immediately. LeVert is a player who is elite with the ball in his hands and would give the Magic an inside-out presence with Vucevic.

Orlando needs to decide between completely blowing it up and rebuilding and making moves to contend over the next few years. This is a move that would help them content as soon as possible.
