The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs have been long-term contenders in the Western Conference. Last season, the Lakers ended up winning the NBA Finals while the Spurs missed the playoffs. Kyle Kuzma has been a name that has come up in trade rumors a lot this offseason, but could he end up being sent to the Spurs?
In the near future, the Lakers are going to have to make a decision on Kuzma. He is already reportedly looking to be given a contract extension. Los Angeles may not be interested in investing that much into him.
Should the franchise look to trade Kuzma, the Spurs would make a lot of sense as a potential landing spot.
Last season with the Lakers, Kuzma ended up averaging 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He shot 43.6 percent from the floor and knocked down 31.6 percent of his three-point attempts. Those numbers aren’t amazing, but Kuzma has a ton of potential at just 25 years old.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at an intriguing trade that would send Kyle Kuzma from the Lakers to the Spurs.
