The Indiana Pacers entered the offseason with a ton of trade rumors surrounding former All-Star shooting guard Victor Oladipo. Many thought it was a forgone conclusion that he would be traded this offseason, but that hasn’t happened yet. Could the New York Knicks still try to acquire Oladipo from the Pacers?
Oladipo would be the kind of big name that the Knicks have been targeting over the last few years. Unfortunately, he is a big name with some serious injury concerns. His quad injury forced him to come back very slowly last season when he did return for the Pacers.
During the 19 games Oladipo ended up playing, he averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. He shot 39.4 percent from the floor and knocked down 31.7 percent of his three-point attempts.
At 28 years old, Oladipo is still very confident that he can return to full strength. The Pacers seem open to keeping him around. But, if there is a good deal to be had, both sides could be interested in pulling the trigger on a trade.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at an intriguing late offseason trade that would send Victor Oladipo from the Pacers to the Knicks.
