The Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards are both going to be very intriguing teams to watch in the 2020-21 NBA season. For the Pacers, they are hoping to be contenders with a healthier version of Victor Oladipo. On the other side of things, the Wizards are hoping to see John Wall and Bradley Beal stay healthy and be the lethal duo they once were.
While the Pacers are going to be expected to compete, the Wizards will have to prove that they can. They have had some drama this offseason. Wall has reportedly requested a trade and is unhappy with the organization.
Could these two teams come together on a late-offseason trade that could provide both teams will valuable pieces?
Kevin Pritchard and the Pacers were looking to make a splash this offseason. They tried to acquire Gordon Hayward in a sign-and-trade with the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately, the Celtics wanted a crazy amount of value for a player they didn’t even control.
For the Wizards, they were able to re-sign Davis Bertans this offseason. They also were able to snag Deni Avdija with the No. 9 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Washington has made some small improvements, but nothing that moves the needle a ton.
