The Los Angeles Lakers have had a very busy offseason and are looking like a major threat to repeat as NBA champions. LeBron James is still in town and Anthony Davis is going to remain with the team. However, a trade for Derrick Rose with the Detroit Pistons is not completely out of the question.
So far this offseason, the Lakers have added Wesley Matthews, Marc Gasol, and Montrezl Harrell. They were also able to re-sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Markieff Morris.
Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo both ended up leaving town and JaVale McGee was traded to make room for Gasol. Avery Bradley also left town in free agency. There has been a decent roster overhaul this offseason.
Could they still look to acquire Rose from the Pistons? It was certainly a move that was being rumored quite a bit before the NBA Draft. Rose would still be a nice fit for this team and would help them compete for a repeat.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at one intriguing trade that would send Derrick Rose from the Pistons to the Lakers.
