Why the Trade Benefits the Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls drafted a young player in Coby White in last year’s draft and he is turning into a solid player. If the Bulls decide to hang onto LaVine and Markannen, they could look to add another superstar to the mix, Westbrook could be that superstar.
Chicago could go in many ways this offseason. There is a chance they can get a big return for either LaVine or Markannen if they choose to go that route. The Bulls added Patrick Williams with the fourth pick in the draft.
They are in rebuild mode but in today’s NBA, that process can be sped up by adding a dynamic player to the lineup. Westbrook is a point guard who would fit well with LaVine and Markannen. LaVine is used to playing with other stars and would complement the fast-paced game of Westbrook.
The Bulls are a franchise with a rich history of winning and great players. They have taken a huge step back in recent years but could quickly move toward contention by making a blockbuster NBA deal such as this one.
