The New York Knicks have been looking to make a splash once again this offseason. Gordon Hayward was viewed as a potential target, but they were unable to get him signed and Russell Westbrook may or may not be a target. Could they turn their attention to Boston Celtics star point guard Kemba Walker?
Walker has been mentioned in a couple of rumors this offseason. While the Celtics may not be looking to move him, he would be a perfect fit for the Knicks.
Over the last few years, the need for a legitimate star has been obvious. The Knicks have also needed to find a true point guard. Acquiring Walker from the Celtics would be the fix for both of those things.
Last season with the Celtics, Walker ended up averaging 20.4 points per game to go along with 4.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds. He shot 42.5 percent from the floor and knocked down 38.1 percent from the three-point line.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at a potential trade that would send Kemba Walker from the Celtics to the Knicks.
