The NBA offseason is in full swing and free agency was quite eventful on the first day of teams and free agents being able to negotiate deals. For the Los Angeles Clippers, that has proven to be a mixed bag, so far.
Before getting into free agency, the 2020 NBA Draft was eventful for the Clippers even though they didn’t have much for draft positioning. Los Angeles traded Landry Shamet and Rodney McGruder and ended up with Luke Kennard— making an upgrade to the scoring capabilities of the bench.
The start to free agency has been quite as kind to the Clippers though. On the first day, Los Angeles lost both Montrezl Harrell and JaMychal Green— creating a need in the frontcourt that only a signing could address.
The Clippers did manage to retain Marcus Morris on what could be considered an overpay. He ended up agreeing to a four-year, $64 million contract to return to Los Angeles.
There’s still plenty more that can be done. With that being said, let’s take a look at three intriguing free agents the Los Angeles Clippers should consider signing.
