New York Knicks Receive: Russell Westbrook

Houston Rockets Receive: Julius Randle, Dennis Smith Jr., 2023 1st Round Pick (via DAL)

If the Knicks are serious about acquiring Westbrook, this is a deal that might get it done. Randle is the perfect trade piece to send to Houston in the deal and they have some first-round picks stashed away from the Kristaps Porzingis deal.

Smith Jr. is just one point guard on the Knicks that has been a disappointment. He joins Frank Ntilikina in that category. Taking on Westbrook’s contract would be a non-issue and because of the amount, it might take something off what they need to send Houston.

Let’s take a look at this deal and see how it benefits each the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks.
