Kings have had exploratory trade talks regarding De’Aaron Fox

De’Aaron Fox is the clear-cut face of the Sacramento Kings right now. He has turned into a legitimate star point guard and still has a ton of room to improve. Whether or not he will be with the franchise long-term remains to be seen.

According to a report from Ross of Legion Hoops, the Kings have had exploratory trade discussions regarding Fox. At this point in time, nothing is imminent or serious on that front.

Take this report with a grain of salt. This isn’t Adrian Wojnarowski or Shams Charania reporting this news. Fox may very well not be involved in any trade talks whatsoever, but the source had made a quite a few reports that have come to fruition.

If this is true, the Kings would be able to get a huge haul for a player like Fox. He is just 22 years old and is already a 20 points per game scorer.

Speaking of his numbers, Fox ended up averaging 21.1 points per game last season with the Kings to go along with 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds. He also shot 48 percent from the floor, but struggled from three-point range at just 29.2 percent.

Fox has huge offensive potential, but that could hinge on his ability to improve his three-point shooting. If he can do that, he will be lethal. Otherwise, he will have to rely solely on his quickness and explosiveness to get to the rim.

Only time will tell if this report has any legs to it. For now, no other outlets have reported that the Kings were discussing trades regarding De’Aaron Fox.
