Could the Bucks end up signing Danilo Gallinari in free agency?

The Milwaukee Bucks looked to be set with their big moves for the offseason after trading for Jrue Holiday and agreeing on a sign-and-trade deal with the Sacramento Kings for Bogdan Bogdanovic. Unfortunately, the Bogdanovic trade has fallen through. Could they turn their attention to signing Danilo Gallinari?

Gallinari would certainly be an ideal fit alongside of Giannis Antetokounmpo. He has the ability to shoot the three at a high level, put the ball on the floor, and he is a very solid passer.

Being able to bring Gallinari onboard might be tough, but a sign-and-trade deal could be had with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Last season with the Thunder, Gallinari ended up averaging 18.7 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists. He shot 43.8 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 40.5 percent of his three-point attempts. Those numbers would look good on the Bucks.

Bleacher Report certainly thinks the Bucks should target Gallinari. They have him listed as one of the top three players Milwaukee should target this offseason.

No one truly knows what kind of money Gallinari will end up getting this offseason. However, it is clear that he is not going to be cheap. If the Bucks want to bring him on board, they will have to figure out how to make a deal work.

Speaking strictly about his fit with the Bucks, Gallinari would be able to come in and play a power forward role. He would also help Milwaukee convince Antetokounmpo to sign his supermax extension.

Milwaukee is simply looking to make moves that can help them compete for a championship. They need to add pieces that will convince Antetokounmpo that he will be able to compete now. Danilo Gallinari is a piece that could absolutely help them towards that goal.

Plenty of other teams will have interest in acquiring or signing Gallinari this offseason as well. Among those teams are the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks, who have both been reported to have interest already.

Expect to hear a lot of rumors surrounding the Bucks this offseason as they look to add pieces around their MVP superstar. Gallinari may not end up being a target, but he certainly would make sense.
