The Hypothetical Trade

Celtics Receive: Myles Turner, Doug McDermott

Pacers Receive: Gordon Hayward, Aaron Nesmith

As we mentioned, even though the NBA Draft has come and gone, the Celtics could still trade a draft pick to Indiana. It wouldn’t be a draft pick that the Pacers could use in the future, but it would be a very talented player in Nesmith who was drafted at No. 14 overall.

Turner has always been a name connected to the Celtics. Boston needs help in the paint defensively and Turner has been one of the NBA’s elite rim protectors over the years. This deal makes sense for Boston.

Obviously, this may not end up happening. However, if the two sides want to make a move, it could make perfect sense.
