Danilo Gallinari has said that he wants to play for a contender. The 32-year old is one of the top players on the free agent market this offseason and he could end up being courted by Mark Cuban once discussions begin.

The Mavericks need a player like Gallinari. He would join Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis in the lineup and help turn the Mavericks into true threats in the Western Conference. Coming off a playoff appearance, the Mavericks are trending upwards. Gallinari would provide a wing threat. One that can stretch the floor and create his own shot in the mid-range game.

There will be many teams after Gallinari. The Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz could also be in the mix. Dallas is already an exciting team with Doncic and Gallinari would take that to the next level.
