Carmelo Anthony

This seems like an easy fit for both sides. Anthony has been linked to the New York Knicks because of the emotional factor but he is a veteran who should be looking to win a ring before he retires. If there is one place where that is possible, it is the Lakers.

Anthony entered the league with LeBron James back in 2003. They have been close friends ever since but have not been able to team up throughout their careers. Now is the chance to make it happen. Anthony had some nice moments in the restart for the Portland Trail Blazers. He would not be asked to do too much in Los Angeles and he would have a chance to play with friends of his on a contending team. It is as easy as that.

A reunion with the Knicks would not make much sense. The Knicks do not need Anthony and he should not want to play for the disastrous franchise once again. It is time that Anthony pairs up with James and attempts to win a championship.
