Warriors star Klay Thompson’s leg injury looked ‘bad’

The Golden State Warriors received some horrible news on Wednesday just before the 2020 NBA Draft. All offseason long, excitement has been building to see Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both back healthy next season. Unfortunately, news broke that Thompson suffered an injury to his right leg.

No one knows just how serious this injury is, but a report from Monte Poole of NBCS stated that the injury looked “bad.”

We can only hope that Thompson will end up avoiding a super serious injury. He has worked hard to come back from a torn ACL that he suffered in the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors and missed all of last season.

Thompson is one of the most underrated stars in the NBA. He may not receive the hype that Curry does, but he is every bit as important. If he is unable to play again this season, the Warriors will likely be unable to compete with the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.

This injury was not to the same leg that Thompson was coming back from an injury to. That seems to be a good sign, unless it is another catastrophic injury to the other leg. If it is something like a torn ACL, it would be extremely tough mentally to come back.

No matter what the outcome of the testing on Klay Thompson’s leg is, he is a winner and a tough player. He will work hard to come back once again.

Now, we simply have to sit back and wait for more information to become available. The Warriors are certainly in panic mode, as are fans everywhere. Even if you aren’t a Golden State fan, you know how good of a player and person Thompson is.

Whenever more information is available, we will make sure to bring it to you. Stay tuned.
